Further information: A PA is needed to support a young teenage man in the HU7 area of Hull. This young man loves football, and really enjoys being outdoors, walking, attending social groups like LAFFS, accessing the community. This young man is, on the whole, an easy going young man but can occasionally display challenging behaviour although this is usually just in the home. The main duties for the PA will include, collecting this young man from school and supporting him to access the community between 3 – 5pm Monday to Friday. Experience of working with autistic children and young adults would be an advantage though, is not a necessity. The ideal PA will be kind, confident and have excellent communication skills, they will also have the ability to stay calm in difficult situations. You will also have a strongly developed sense of social justice and be supportive of the social inclusion of disabled people in their local community.
