A female Personal Assistant is required to support a 32-year-old woman who lives in the Springhead Way area of Hull. The lady has learning difficulties, a short attention span, and requires assistance with accessing social activities and shopping trips.
The young woman’s hobbies include listening to music, clothes shopping, using computers, attending line dancing, Zumba and going to the theatre. The potential PA would be required to assist with personal care and helping her to get dressed. Applicants must be flexible in their approach to work, like a job that can be demanding but varied, and have a strongly developed sense of social justice in supporting the social inclusion of disabled people in their local communities. A Personal Assistant is required to support a 16 year old young man living in the HU4 area of Hull to develop independence and social skills.
He would like to employ a PA who is patient, enthusiastic, fun but supportive.
The young man would like support to work on his independent living skills such as food preparation and budgeting. He enjoys activities such as football, bowling, going into town/gym, crazy golf and computer games especially FIFA. He would like to support to engage with his local community to be with his peers; accessing local sports venues and community youth activities. Knowledge of epilepsy would be useful and awareness of issues around nut allergies, however, training can be provided.
