Further Information: A position for a personal assistant is available to support an art loving 18-year-old woman to access the community to build confidence and developing social and independent living skills. An understanding of autism and its impact on the lives and behaviour of young people would be an advantage though not essential. Main duties will include taking the young woman into the community to various locations including shopping, to the parks, walking and cafés to improve confidence, communication and independence. The successful PA will be friendly, kind and confident, they will have a strongly developed of social justice and support the inclusion of disabled people in accessing their local community. They will also encourage and support independent living.
