Rate of pay: £8.91
Hours: 4hrs a week to be negotiated with employer (8 school Holidays)
A Personal Assistant is required to support a disabled an 8-year young boy in the HU9 area of the city. This young boy has Sensory processing disorder and high functioning Autism. The PA is required to provide 4 hours respite for mum a week (8 hours term time) The respite will involve keeping this young boy entertained including but not limited to taking this child to park, for walks and engaging in social activities inside the family home. This young man has a real passion for electronic video games and the ideal PA would be someone who also enjoys this past time. He is a happy boy who enjoys routine. The PA will need to be confident supportive and engaging able to build a good relationship built on trust as well fun. The PA will need to follow direction of mum at all times and be comfortable working independently but also as part of the family home environment. He is vulnerable when out in the community and needs adult supervision at all times. The hours of work are flexible and to be negotiated at interview. Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority/employer.
