Hours:  16 hours per week in school holidays (2 days a week to be agreed at interview)

Further Information:  Energetic, child centred, Female PA required to provide support in a family household in the Pickering Road area of Hull. This post is being offered to Female applicants only. The role will entail all aspects of care including personal hygiene, waking, dressing, personal care, administering medication, feeding and hoisting. Role in evening includes feeding, dressing, personal care, showering, administering medication, hoisting, social activities, and physio stretches. Experience not necessary as training can be given.

The young person likes to listen, uses a wheelchair but likes to go for walks and be outside. They also have had a Gastrostomy and is PEG fed.

It will also entail supporting the family with social and family outings. A car driver would be preferable as a wheelchair vehicle will be available for use by the PA. The ideal PA’s will be good with children and able to fit in the family, they will need to be flexible and able to remain calm in stressful situations. They must be kind, honest and trustworthy as well as enthusiastic and fun loving. Experience of working with children is not essential, though would be an advantage.
