Hours: 4-6 hours per week plus additional hours in school holidays

Days: Alternate weekends. These hours can be flexible, with additional/alternate hours arranged during school holidays

A Female Personal Assistant is required for a teenage girl in the HU7 area of Hull.  She requires a PA to support her to have fun and access the community independently of her family.

 

Your role would be to support with activities such as swimming, bowling, going to the cinema, park or seaside. The role also involves some personal care. This young lady sometimes has difficulties expressing her needs and opinions and can get anxious and upset but has such an infectious smile and sense of fun. Previous experience is not required but you should be patient, friendly and supportive, encouraging this young lady to grow in independence and confidence.

 

Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with disabled people, be honest and trustworthy, and have a confident nature with the ability to remain calm.  Applicants will also be able to demonstrate warmth, compassion and unconditional positive regard for disabled people, and be able to build good relationships with young people based on trust and respect.

 

  • A car driver would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Non-smoker preferred
