A Male Personal Assistant is required for a young man in the HU6 area of Hull.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for a male worker, and therefore only applications from males will be considered*.

The PA is required to support Mum with the young man’s care needs and this will include aspects of care including personal care.  The young man has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and experiences high levels of anxiety.  The PA will need to build a relationship with him at his pace.   The PA is required to support this young man at CASE monday and Wednesday.(times stated above) and sit with him at break and lunch. You must be able to push a manual wheelchair where required and also be conscious of safety, he can run off when inclined so you will need to be able to keep pace with him. Applicants should also have a strongly developed sense of social justice in supporting the social inclusion of young disabled people in their local community.  In addition, they should be honest, reliable, and good at communicating, tolerant and non-judgemental and able to build good relationships with young disabled people based on trust and respect. Ideally will be able to drive and have access to vehicle. Mileage cost will be met by employer.
