A team of enthusiastic and reliable Personal Assistants are required to support a young man in the Holderness Road area of the city. The young man is 20 and has Autism and Learning Difficulties. He requires 2:1 support, so team working will be essential. You will be working under the direction of Mum but the young man is able to express his own needs and wishes. He is warm and funny with a great sense of humour.
The PA’s will help the young man access social activities in his community. He enjoys swimming, bowling, going to the cinema and playing on the arcades. He has no safety awareness so precautions will need to be taken when out and about, the PA’s will need to work together to ensure appropriate measures are in place. He also likes to be at home playing on his Play Station and he loves watching cartoons. You will need to be a good communicator, have a flexible approach to working and be able to work as part of a team. Experience is not essential as training will be given.
