Further information: A female Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support an 11year old girl in the HU3 area of Hull.

She likes to be neat and tidy.  She particularly likes her hair to be clean and tidy.  She likes drawing and may wish to visit art galleries and to attend age-appropriate art groups.  She also needs support to go out of the family home to socialise and attend social events of her and her mum’s choosing, particularly during school holidays.

She has some personal care needs and needs support getting ready for school.  She is very anxious about leaving the house and needs to be accompanied to the bus stop in the morning and have someone wait with her till the school bus arrives and support her to catch the bus.

She is a British Sign Language User (BSL), but, while knowledge or experience of BSL would be useful, it is definitely not essential as this girl can lipread and communicate in other ways.  This job may suit a PA who is learning or wishes to learn BSL.

Offers of employment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be met by Hull City Council.

Mum speaks Arabic, but the children speak Arabic and English.
