Two or three Personal Assistants are required to provide support for a 28-year-old man in the Bransholme area of Hull.  He wants staff who are fun to spend time with.

He is a lovely young man with a great sense of humour, who enjoys having banter with staff.  He also enjoys football, rugby and going to the MKM stadium.  He likes getting donuts and ice cream in Brid, going to the disco, playing on the Xbox and thoroughly participating in/enjoying life to the full.  He is a pleasure to work with in a lovely friendly home environment.

He has complex needs and is a wheelchair user.  As the young man’s personal assistant you will be required to provide support with eating, personal care, some cleaning and social activities.

Ideally the successful applicants will have NVQ level 3 in Healthcare or the equivalent experience working in the care sector.  All necessary training will be provided.

A car driver with a clean driving licence is preferred as the PA will be required to drive the young man’s adapted vehicle.  The successful applicant will be employed subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.

Rate of pay: £14.87 per hour.
Hours:  Up to 36day hours and 24night hrs available – 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am – mixture of shifts – includes weekend working.  The family would consider employing one PA for dayshifts and a second PA for night shifts.
