We are looking for two caring and reliable Personal Assistants to support a young child living in the HU6 area.
This bright and energetic child enjoys getting out and about, visiting parks, exploring new environments, and spending time at soft play centres. The role focuses on supporting him to access community activities safely, have fun, and develop confidence through positive experiences.
The child has a unique way of communicating and uses a combination of a few spoken words and other methods, including colours, to express his choices, feelings, and needs. Successful applicants will need to be patient, attentive, and willing to learn how he communicates so they can provide consistent and meaningful support.
Personal care is required as part of this role, so applicants should feel comfortable providing assistance in a respectful and dignified manner.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, understanding, and encouraging
- Dependable and able to work on their own initiative
- Able to develop a positive and trusting relationship
- Confident supporting a child with additional communication needs
- Enthusiastic about helping a child engage with activities in the community
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional needs would be beneficial, but is not essential. We welcome applicants who have a positive attitude, a caring nature, and a willingness to learn.
